Coal Handling Plant, Bayswater Power Station, Hunter Valley, New South Wales
This project involved designing and constructing the complete coal handling plant at Bayswater Power Station to feed a 4 x 660 MW unit power station.
FEATURES:
- 22 conveyors, with all associated equipment and transfer points
- equipment including a rail-mounted bucket wheel stacker reclaimer (under licence from MAN), rotary plough feeders, vibrating feeders, coal sampling and a vacuum cleaning system
- custom-designed software for 12 programmable logic controllers.
BENEFITS:
- the project was delivered on time and within budget
- the contract for the bucket wheel reclaimer had originally been called separately- combining the 2 projects saved the client money
- supervision of direct labour.
