This project involved the construction of the Onslow Solar Saltfield minesite infrastructure, wash plant, materials handling system and jetty loadout.
FEATURES:
- 1.4km long jetty, including design of piling works
- loadout platform
- 4 berthing dolphins, and
- commissioning of conveyors and shiploader.
BENEFITS:
- project completed 3 months early even though unseasonable weather interrupted work on 2 occasions
- construction period over before the start of the main cyclone season, and
- excellent safety record with no lost time injuries.
