City Hall, Toowoomba, Queensland
A complete restoration of this heritage-listed, two storey building was undertaken to restore the building to its former glory.
FEATURES:
- demolition of attached brick additions
- construction of block structure with new scissor lift
- complete restoration of existing Heritage listed two storey building
- new 10m high bored piers, structural steel and glass curtain wall atrium, with sandstone floor, cherry ply wall covering and mezzanine floor toilets with iron and glass handrailing
- full air conditioning installed to first floor and partial to ground floor
- complete electrical and hydraulic renewal and fit out and structure and installation of two new lifts
- refurbishment of external elevations roof and clock tower, including tuck pointing to brickwork.
BENEFITS:
The successful outcome for this important project was due to extensive experience in historical restoration.
