The project involved the supply and construction of a 360MW Combined Cycle Power Plant. Works included concrete foundations, steel structure, building works, site drainage and underground pipe works. Laing O’Rourke delivered the project with Alstom Power in a negotiated bespoke alliance contract.

The site was very compact with a phased handover of 11 separate areas for follow on works and therefore planning and sequencing of the works were key to the success of the project.

The project was handed over on time and substantially under the budget target costs.
