This project is a design and construct contract for two eight-storey structures containing 84 three bedroom apartments, to a standard never before seen in Darwin.
FEATURES:
- latest construction methods using precast concrete walls providing structural benefits, and excellent acoustic and fire protection between apartments
- external precast panels provide a high quality low maintenance, consistent finish
- landscaped podium 4 metres above ground level link the two buildings
- large wrap around balconies and sun shading on all apartment glazing
- large pool and spa on raised deck with wet edge, and a 25m lap pool
- multi-function room, gym, and ground level parking, and
- state-of-the-art electronic security and monitoring system.
BENEFITS:
- cost effective solution delivered through the use of precast concrete in place of the original mainly blockwork design, and
- extensive knowledge of building materials in the Northern Territory led to the design of windows and bi-fold doors which would withstand the Territory's weather.
