Curragh North Materials Handling System

This project involved the design and construction of a 2,500t/h materials handling system for the Curragh project, including:

  • a run-of-mine storage pad with capacity for four 125,000t coal stockpiles
  • a 2,500 t/h Run of Mine dump station
  • a three-stage crushing and screening plant
  • a 20.02km overland conveyor capable of delivering at any rate between 300t/h and 2,500t/h, and
  • modifications to increase the capacity and provide greater operational flexibility of the existing systems, including the provision of a 500t five-outlet bin, three new conveyors and the upgrade of seven existing conveyors.
