Laing O’Rourke has a strong tradition in offering construction management cadetships. Many of our leading construction professionals today started in our business as a cadet.

We believe cadetships provide you with the ideal opportunity to preview particular career paths, experience the various construction disciplines, and gain an understanding of how they interface.

By rotating through various construction disciplines, you also have the opportunity to work with a broad range of talented professionals, while continuing your university studies with our full support.

Typically cadetships are awarded at the beginning of each year, however they can be awarded throughout the year, depending on business needs.

Internships and Vacation Work

We’re committed to providing our next generation of engineering and construction-related professionals with the vital experience they require to complete their formal qualifications.

Not only does it give you the opportunity to gain an insight into our organisation, it also enables us to build relationships with the people who will become part of our future.

Internships can be completed either through vacation employment and/or sandwich employment. Vacation work is typically advertised in August/September and arranged for the summer break.
