What’s it like?

It’s great. This is my first job as Project Manager. Plenty of challenges and lots of learning, but really enjoying it.

What about training?

I’m on the K2 Program. The company is also looking at a Masters course, which will involve overseas study and work in our UK and Middle East businesses. You’re not cutting your ties here and going to work for another company and then coming back trying to find work. You’re staying with the company and developing, and I think that’s important.

What is the K2 Program?

They select people that they see have leadership potential, and they put you through a training program which is over nine months. It’s two to three days every six weeks, and training is undertaken with a series of external consultants off-site. In that period, we complete a Diploma in Business Management.
