Why did you choose civil engineering?

I chose civil engineering because you get to build things, and actually see an end product. You get to go out on site and be involved in the project being created.

What stands out about Laing O’Rourke?

I’ve always wanted to travel and civil engineering is generally good for travel. Laing O’Rourke offers a lot of opportunities to travel overseas.

What would you say to engineering students approaching the end of their university studies?

Laing O’Rourke offers a wide range of activities that will keep you interested and give you a wide spectrum of knowledge and understanding of the engineering discipline. I’m able to go into a position where I enjoy the work, rather than being stuck in a position which I thought I’d enjoy when I graduated.
