Laing O'Rourke has continued its recent success in winning Master Builders Awards with three award wins at the recent Northern Territory regional awards.
The Ben Hammond Stage 2 Redevelopment Project won the Excellence in Building and Construction (Commercial Construction over $10 million), Excellence in Building for the NT Climate (Commercial) and the Occupational Health and Safety (Site Safety) categories.
They were presented at the Territory Construction Association (Master Builders) Excellence in Building Awards and Annual Dinner.
Northern Territory Regional Manager Dick Guit said the win was a real credit to the project team.
Earlier this year, the Ben Hammond office building set a benchmark for sustainable tropical design as the Northern Territory's first 4-star Green Star building.
The Northern Territory awards follow on from recent Master Builders awards for the Miles Hospital (south west Queensland); Gold Coast Convention Centre upgrade (Gold Coast); and the Weipa Integrated Health Services Facility and Cairns Yacht Club (both in Far North Queensland).
