The formation of strategic partnerships with two Australian partners has strengthened Laing O’Rourke’s Middle East expertise.
The Queensland Trade Minister John Mickel announced the partnerships at a Middle East Export Network Forum held recently in Brisbane.
The two Memoranda of Understanding – with Total Alliance Health Partners International (TAHPI), which includes Thomson Adsett Architects, and building products company Ritek – will help pave the way for collaboration on Middle East projects between the three organisations.
Trade Minister John Mickel said the partnerships resulted from a trade mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates last November, which included a visit to Laing O’Rourke’s Al Raha Beach project.
“The MoUs have been signed as a follow up from that visit and pave the way for these local Queensland firms to collaborate and partner with Laing O’Rourke to take part in its projects in the Middle East,” Mr Mickel said.
