Pinnacle Office Park Project Now Underway

July 16 2007

Laing O'Rourke is currently undertaking the $78 million Pinnacle Office Park commercial development project in Sydney.

Scott Egelton, Development and Building General Manager is very pleased to have the project underway after winning the tender in April 2007.

"Macquarie Goodman has appointed us as the design and construct contractor and was particularly impressed by our ability to innovate and add value to their vision," Scott said.

"This is the single biggest building contract Macquarie Goodman has entered into and provides us with a fantastic opportunity to establish an ongoing relationship with one of the largest commercial trusts in the country," he said.

Peter Pearce, Laing O'Rourke's Construction Manager for Pinnacle, says the key to the project's success will be the way the company manages relationships and partner with our sub-contractors.

"This project has had a strong partnership flavour from the very beginning," said Peter.

"Before we submitted the tender we selected a core group of top-tier subcontractors and have been working with them on this project ever since. Because of our shared history - we have a united vision for the future."

"It's still early days, but I can see that everyone is pulling together so we are working towards what promises to be a great outcome for our client," he said.

At its peak, the construction team expects to have approximately 200 people employed on the project, which is due for completion in late 2008.
