Laing O’Rourke has a structured Apprenticeship Program, which consists of both on-and-off-the-job experience. Your chosen trade is supported by a specialised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which is responsible for delivering the theory component of your trade, and those competencies that the commercial building industry, from time to time, may not be able to provide.

Laing O’Rourke offers a diverse range of apprenticeship trades across a number of locations throughout Australia, including:

• Building Construction
• Boiler Making
• Mechanical Fitting - Hydraulics/Pumps (Regional), and
• Electrical (Regional).

Our Traineeships are nationally recognised and accredited training, delivered over one-to-two years. They offer practical, on-the-job tuition and, upon completion, successful candidates are awarded a Certificate or Diploma in their chosen field. We support traineeships undertaken within a diverse range of Business vocations, including:

• Office Administration
• Accountancy
• Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S)

as well as those in the Technical areas, including:

• Rail
• Process Manufacturing, and
• Operations.

All training is delivered on-site and/or online. The expectation is the participant will self manage their studies with approximately two hours per month of face-to-face tuition provided for employees undertaking funded traineeships.
