David brings a wealth of varied experience in the construction industry to his role of Commercial Director at Laing O’Rourke.

During a 30 year career he has held a number of roles at top-tier construction companies, developing dynamic business and contract management skills which have enabled him to oversee large, varied and complex projects and teams. David has experienced all phases of the construction industry including infrastructure projects, greenfield projects, and refurbishment and fitouts.

Before commencing with Laing O’Rourke, David was Leighton Contractors’ New South Wales Building Division Manager for three years. He successfully negotiated, finalised and implemented a series of high level contracts, including the Hilton Hotel finalisation and Westpac Place projects. He oversaw a division restructure, the development of business plans, and implementation of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) with a number of high level clients.
